CSIRO Publishing welcomes enquiries regarding co-publication, translation or other subsidiary rights to our publications such as readings, performance or recordings. For rights inquiries you can contact us directly at publishing@csiro.au

Permissions

Permission to use text extracts, figures, tables, photos and illustrations can be requested for purposes including republication in print and digital books, journals, presentations, academic course packs, document delivery or interlibrary loan (ILL), websites, academic papers and theses, training, and for use in documentation prepared by organisations and commercial entities.  

CSIRO Publishing is a member of STM and a signatory of the STM Permissions Guidelines however we still require that co-signatories request and clear permissions.  

Most requests can be managed through collecting agencies including the Copyright Agency (Australia), and Copyright Clearance Centre. Certain reuses attract a licence fee or special request.  If you are unable to request permission via a copyright collecting agency you can contact us directly with a detailed summary of your intended use.  

If you are an Author, please refer to your Licence to Publish or Author Agreement with CSIRO Publishing regarding reusing your work.  Journal authors can also find information regarding sharing on ConnectSci.

Open Access 

Content published under an Open Access licence is marked, and the terms of the relevant licence are outlined at the link to Creative Commons provided on the material.
